Autonomia, desempenho e dominância: similitudes e diferenças na personalidade de homens e mulheres na área de tecnologia

Abstract

The study analyzes the personality traits of autonomy, dominance, and performance among men and women who work in the technology area, aiming to understand the similarities and differences between both genders. This sample is composed of 1700 people, who took the IFP and IFP-II Personality Factor Inventory for twelve years. Results showed that in the dominance and performance traits both genders presented the same level, and the autonomy trait is lower in women. In conclusion, this study shows that, despite being similar between men and women, the personality traits studied are, in most cases, mistakenly considered in the decisions made by companies to occupy leadership positions in the technology area.
