Abstract

Abstract

The aim of this article was to analyze the relationship between working conditions and the health of public school teachers in Paraty-RJ. This work results from a basic qualitative research conducted through the triangulation of primary sources: official documents, school census data, and the Teacher Survey. It is concluded that the expansion of the public education system observed in the last decade has taken place alongside an intensification of the precariousness of teachers’ work and health.

Keywords: teaching work; teacher malaise; basic education; Youth and Adult Education; Paraty-RJ.
