sustainable production and consumption in a municipal school of Manaus-AM

Abstract

This report presents a project carried out at Alexandrina Barros
Rodrigues Municipal School, located in the city of Manaus-AM, with students from
the 4th grade of elementary school, with the objective of oportunizar studies and
practices between teachers and students about Biocosmetics, aiming at sustainable
production and consumption. The article is divided into four sessions that discuss the
emergence of the natural cosmetics market, sustainability and teaching, the profile of
an ecological subject and the school as an institution open to environmental causes.
After the bibliographical research we started the studies, selection and preparation of
biocosmetics using vegetable resources of the Amazonian flora, later the products
were exposed at the science fair of the municipal education network, which had the
participation of the school community. At the end of the activities, it was possible to
notice the enlargement of the representations of all participants regarding the
concepts of preservation and conservation of the environment, contributing to the
formation of reflective and ecological subjects.
