Abstract

Taking the main lines of the critical-biographic profile some considerations are made on the multiple languages developed by Arthur Omar to intervene in the contemporary cultural scenario. Some of the categories of the current aesthetic-epistemological thought are examined in the light of the artist's most radical proposals.

Author Biography

Marcelo Magalhães Leitão, UFC / PUC-Rio

Graduado em Letras pela Universidade Federal do Ceará em 1999. Nessa mesma universidade fez parte do corpo docente do Departamento de Letras. Concluiu o Mestrado em Estudos de Literatura na PUC-Rio, com dissertação acerca da produção artística de Arthur Omar. É pesquisador de cinema e outras linguagens visuais.
