The present paper is the result of fieldwork conducted between the years 2019 to 2020 in the city of Tocantinópolis, interior of the state of Tocantins, and has as main interlocutors some religious women, specifically from the Assemblies of God. The work method adopted was the qualitative one, with the two-step application of semi-structured questionnaires. Our objective from this methodology was to describe how gender relations are experienced by religious women, as well as to understand how they recreate the category "woman" from the dogmatic doctrine. In addition, during the research, we could glimpse how they perceived the LBGTQIA+ people who might frequent the space of their congregations.
