Abstract

The LGBTQIAPN+ community, crossed by historical and cultural relations, articulated itself with social movements as the Landless Workers’ Movement (MST), which contributes directly with the identity formation of its members. This article aims to comprehend the living experience of the LGBTQIAPN+ MST militants in its identity construction process. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with seven participants. The critical phenomenological method was then used to transcribe, theoretically analyze and group the statements into categories. Therefore the militants’ experiences are affected and crossed by multiple contexts. It should be emphasized that collective health promotion practices help to build the identity of these individuals.
