Industry 5.0 emerges as an evolution of Industry 4.0 by emphasizing human centrality, sustainability, and ethical innovation. In the face of current socio-environmental challenges and the goals of the UN 2030 Agenda, it becomes important to understand how this new industrial paradigm can support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This study aims, from a Knowledge Management perspective, to analyze the role of Industry 5.0 in advancing the SDGs, with attention to inclusive, sustainable, and ethically oriented production practices. The research adopts a qualitative approach, combining a Systematic Literature Review of 20 articles published between 2019 and 2024 with 10 semi-structured interviews involving experts from academic, industrial, and governmental sectors. The results indicate strong convergence between the principles of Industry 5.0 and SDGs 8, 9, 10, 12, and 13. Key findings include the need for public policies that foster inclusion, continuous workforce development, the use of enabling technologies to reduce inequalities, and the reinforcement of ethical values in automation and intelligent decision-making.The study concludes that Industry 5.0 represents a sociotechnical shift oriented toward purpose-driven production, respecting environmental limits and promoting human well-being, provided it is supported by multisector cooperation and responsible innovation governance.
