HIGH SCHOOL: AGENDA FOR DEBATE

Highlighting essential topics for high school reform, the text was presented at the VI Municipal Congress of Education in São Paulo. The debate emphasizes the need to reflect on the adolescence and puberty of young people aged 14 to 17; the choice of educational and professional path; and to understand that unified high school is the democratic horizon to be pursued, reducing curricular multiplicity. Referring to Gramsci, a threefold objective is defined for high school: high general culture, intellectual self-discipline, and moral autonomy.
