MANAGEMENT EDUCATION AND EMAMCIPATION
THE TEACHER’S JOUNEY IN SERGIPE

This teaching case presents a relevant discussion on the role of managers in organizations and in the dynamics of society. The objectives include: developing students' critical thinking skills; discussing how organizational managers can shape corporate culture; and understanding emancipation as an educational process for developing critical awareness in management. To deepen learning, group discussions, texts on critical theory, emancipation in Adorno, and reflexivity in teaching and the socialization of organizational situations that allow for a critical analysis of managerial decisions are highlighted, making the teaching-learning process more contextualized and transformative.
