Cultural rights and cultural policies: possible intersections

Abstract

The objective of this paper is to understand the intersections between cultural rights and cultural policies from the rapprochement between the disciplines of law and public policy. First, we start with the relationship between the social rights and the policies. Following will bring a conception of cultural policies as an aspect of social policies in order to justify the relationship between cultural policies and cultural rights. The analysis was based on existing literature on public policy as a multidisciplinary field studies and also the lecture about theory of law. We conclude that cultural rights should be treated as goals, as ends of cultural policies that are developed in our country. Think the cultural policies also as a multidisciplinary field is recognizing the importance of the role of the state in effecting cultural rights already formulated and others that may arise.
